FULL ITINERARY
Be picked up by our driver and tour guide at the port entrance gate, then take you to the outskirts of Hanoi, about 15km away from the city center, where Dong Ngac Cultural village is located. Stop at a morning market for insight into the life of local people and purchase some gifts for families you will visit later. Walk to the host family’s house for a welcome drink and prepare for a biking tour ahead. As you venture deeper into the village, visit the Communal House, of which the ground is built in the shape of a dragon. More than 300 years old, it is the village’s oldest house that once belonged to the Do family.
Head back to the host to participate in a cooking session and enjoy your own prepared dishes. Visit the Temple of Literature, originally built as a Temple of Confucius, before heading to Hoa Lo Prison Museum where the former US presidential candidate John McCain was incarcerated for over 5 years. Finish your tour today with a one-hour cyclo tour of the French inspired “Old Quarter” with some quick shopping before returning to Hai Phong/ Ha Long for your cruise departure. Trip ends.
